Austin wanted to know what Ric thought of his TNA run.

Mid-interview, Flair told the world that he literally said sorry to Vince McMahon for coming out of retirement for another run there. He says he needed the money and viewed it as an easy gig, but he hated working for Eric Bischoff again (eventually). When he returned back to the WWE bosom, Ric sought Vince out and apologised.

There's a lot to digest here. Firstly, TNA's credibility gets rag-dolled around like Flair's body did thousands of times inside the ring. Secondly, the fact he felt the need to say sorry to McMahon shows that he retrospectively realises how WWE rolled the red carpet out for his send off over WrestleMania XXIV weekend.

TNA was an ego trip, and a simple way to rake in some quick bucks that'd stave off Ric's financial problems. It was nothing to him, and it doesn't hold a special place in Flair's heart. That's damning for anyone who loved TNA's peak run and looks back on those days fondly.
