8. Ryback Feels Only "Chosen Ones" Get The Real Opportunities

During the interview Ryan discussed how only the "chosen ones" are given the real opportunities in WWE. While he didn't mention any specific names, one can look at the NXT and WWE rosters of the past several years and make their own conclusions regarding whom exactly WWE has selected as a "chosen one".

Some WWE superstars are given multiple opportunities to succeed, being positioned in the main events of pay-per-views, WrestleManias, SummerSlams, etc. All the while other superstars, that aren't deemed "chosen", have proven their talent and abilities by delivering entertaining segments and earning favourable crowd reactions, but never seem able to break through.

It's the age-old notion that "it isn't what you know, it's who you know" and, unfortunately, that's not a problem strictly found in WWE.

Whether it's nepotism, favouritism or some other 'ism', WWE has always had the tendency to "latch on" to certain talents or certain looks while others, equally or even more talented but less flashy or less political, have fallen by the wayside.

Ryback voiced that as a major problem within WWE, and offered the idea that more wrestlers need to speak up about it.
