It must have been disappointing for Joe to learn that he wouldn't be on the WrestleMania 33 card at all. Most assumed he would perform a run-in on the match between Triple H and Seth Rollins, but that was ditched in favour of having a straight up brawl between both men and involvement from Stephanie McMahon around ringside.

Camped behind the scenes and watching the entire show from monitors underneath the giant entrance ramp WWE constructed for the event, the disconsolate Joe told Jericho that he was sad to be omitted from the biggest show of the year so shortly after making his main roster debut.

Despite that, he was able to turn a negative into a positive and learn from how WrestleMania was produced live in person.

Being in amongst the hustle and bustle of the 'Gorilla Position' helped show Joe just how much work goes into a pay-per-view presentation like 'Mania, and he was stunned by the flurry of activity going on around him. That experience will only bode well should WWE hand him a WrestleMania bow in 2018.
