5. The Shield Would Take Turns Sleeping On The Floor

The Shield weren't exactly best friends when they were first pushed together for a main roster run in 2012. On NXT, the three had been doing their own things, and though they were friendly they weren't close-knit brothers. That'd come later when they found themselves thrust out onto the road on Raw and SmackDown.

The trio were concerned with saving money, so much so that they'd hire a minivan, book one hotel room and take turns sleeping on the floor every night; two would take the double bed and another would bunk up on the carpet. Rollins said on the pod that this ritual went on for about a year.

It ended up being a bonding process.

Seth, Roman and Dean felt like they were all in it together and had something to prove to everyone else on the roster. There were nights when they arrived at TV by helicopter, then retreated to their modest hotel room after the show to get some shut eye.
