4. Seth Didn't Want To Turn Heel In 2014

Mere hours before the 2 June 2014 episode of Raw went live, Triple H and Vince McMahon called all three Shield members into a meeting. It was there that the group learned they'd be splitting that night, and it was Seth who'd turn on his on screen associates then link up with The Authority.

Rollins didn't want to do it.

He argued that Ambrose, who had worked heel before on the indy scene and in NXT, would be better-placed to get jeered. In truth, he was a little intimidated by the thought of striking out on his own, and admits he didn't feel ready to become one of WWE's top villains as a solo act.

Seth had expected to become a babyface whenever The Shield went their separate ways. Triple H and McMahon viewed things differently. To them, it made sense that the opportunistic Rollins would sell out and selfishly join forces with the winning team.
