Terry Taylor might as well be called the elephant of pro wrestling, because that dude doesn't forget. He remembered Seth spurning the chance to join TNA pre-WWE, and he held it against the hopeful newcomer during FCW/NXT training sessions on the juggernaut's dime.
Taylor and Rollins butted heads instantly (largely due to Seth keeping Terry waiting on the TNA deal), and word got back to Triple H. Eager to avoid any petulant squabbles that might eat up time during training camps, Hunter toyed with the idea of letting Rollins go before he really got started.
Trips' thoughts had changed by the time WWE crowned Seth the first NXT Champion, obviously. One thing didn't change: Rollins repeatedly challenged Taylor to explain his outlook on wrestling to the entire class. That didn't sit well with the one time Red Rooster.
