When Randy was walking to the ring at 'Mania V, he was already incensed by a quick formatting change to the main event.

Bruce was the one in charge of writing a full production format for WrestleMania, and he (in keeping with tradition) had Savage coming to the ring after Hogan. Vince McMahon didn't like that, because he still viewed Hulk as the bigger star of the two and wanted him to come out last.

As much as Prichard argued, there was nothing he could do to convince McMahon that the reigning champion should be given proper respect on the night. Savage agreed, but he too was powerless to alter Vince's mind, and he was seething as he made his entrance.

Bruce suggested that McMahon's logic was due to his "Hogan must pose" mantra. That doesn't add up though. Hulk would still be able to pose for his fans after winning the match, so it was unnecessary to switch the entrance order around.
