9. Tyson Had His Back To The Hard Cam During 'Mania's Press Conference

The press conference WWE set up to hype WrestleMania XIV focused on Shawn Michaels, Steve Austin and Mike Tyson. That was deliberate and logical; Tyson's name had brought in a lot of mainstream attention for the promotion, and Vince McMahon was keen to capitalise. At the same time, the boss also had to live produce the resulting scuffle.

When Austin and Michaels threatened to fight and went nose-to-nose, Tyson got in the middle of them. In the ruckus, if one listens carefully, it's possible to hear McMahon bellow for Mike to "turn around" and face the hard cam so people could see his face.

That was a rookie move on the part of Mike.

It's something most fans watching at the time probably didn't notice too. That's the beauty of Conrad Thompson's approach. Armed with issues of The Wrestling Observer and countless pages of notes, he brings out the little stories Bruce can elaborate on.
