4. Working With Grado Was His Impact Highlight

Even though his final year with Impact was a disappointing one for Eli Drake, he enjoyed the majority of his five-year spell with the company.

When pushed on the particular highlights of his Impact run, Eli was quick to show some love for Grado - even if at first he wasn't exactly enthusiastic about working with the Scot.

As Drake put it, "When they told me I was going to do a program with Grado, I remember being just, 'Oh, this is gonna be awful, this is gonna be so bad.' That's no disrespect to Grado. My limited knowledge of seeing what he'd done in Impact, there just wasn't a lot of oomph behind what he was doing, but that's also because of the way he was booked. So we started doing our stuff, it was perfect. You've got the straight guy in me, and the goofy guy in him, and it just works perfectly together. That was a lot of fun."

Other highlights offered up to us by Eli were the friends he made in the company, getting to travel the world, being able to defend the TNA Championship in different countries, and even his run with the TNA King of the Mountain Championship.

Summing up his Impact days, Drake concluded, "I have nothing but fond memories as a whole, it's just that last little bit is a big, big ol' black eye. Again, that lack of communication led to a lot of BS. To a point where two guys essentially tried to assassinate my career. But otherwise, erasing that part, I loved it. I loved the whole run there."
