8. FCW's First Live Event Was In A Bar
Realising that a big part of quality training for up and coming talent is not just what to do in the ring, but to know how to work in front of an audience, Steve Keirn was adamant about putting on as many local shows as possible.
FCW alumni shared their experience of working in a near-empty bar called Bourbon Street, and how their clothes would reek of stale cigarette smoke at the end of the night, and how they would have to change and prepare for matches in the toilet with the other clientele.
Not only that, but working with such a limited budget - or no budget, as Dr Tom Prichard noted - the wrestlers were also the cleanup crew, and after each event, would be responsible for mopping the floor and taking out the trash as well as disassembling the ring for the next show.
