The heat has gone in reverse for the Undertaker/Roman Reigns battle, with the high point coming the night 'The Big Dog' eliminated 'Taker from the Royal Rumble, and the contrasting low emerging as the two briefly faced off in the final Raw before WrestleMania.

Seemingly with each televised appearance, Undertaker looks older and older, and the smoke and mirrors elements of the act are doing less and less to disguise his obvious weaknesses pitched against WWE's most-pushed superstar of the past three years.

The Reigns heel turn remains the big question hanging over the bout, with Roman stoking the fires again this week by reminding a vociferous Philadelphia crowd of his infamous Royal Rumble victory there two years prior.

Flashing his pearly whites through a smug grin as he reminisced, the whole speech seemed designed to antagonise the crowd, feeding their anticipation for the imminent arrival of The Undertaker.

After an evening of dated vignettes alluding to digging Roman's grave, Undertaker appeared in the ring, told Roman he'd rest in peace, then did a fancy trick with the lights to disappear back to wherever he came from.

A flat finale then, but if one thing was abundantly clear, it was that Roman simply has to dominate and defeat the ageing, battle-worn 'Deadman'.
