10 Things We Learned From The WrestleMania Go-Home Raw (March 27)

2. 'The Main Event'

Brock Lesnar Paul Heyman Raw

With certain physical limitations between Brock Lesnar and Bill Goldberg exposed in their abbreviated contests so far, it fell to Paul Heyman's typically outstanding verbal gymnastics to do some super heavy lifting for the super heavyweights.

Though Brock has yet to truly prove any sort of dominance over Big Bill, Heyman talked the clash up as though Goldberg was marching to his inevitable demise.

Crucially, 'The Advocate' made a point of highlighting Lesnar's thirst to win the WWE Universal Title. That relatable motivation has been sorely lacking from 'The Beast' since The Undertaker ruined his rematch against Seth Rollins in 2015, and with one promo Heyman brought it back around to pro wrestling's easiest sell.

Keeping his own verbiage short in the interest of maintaining his own momentum after boo's rang out for his last interview on Raw, Goldberg rushed the scene with yet another spear and appeared dominant as Raw went off the air.

It's impossible to accurately measure expectations of the contest, with both another quick squash or a lengthy affair having clear negatives, but WWE have at least kept things unpredictable between the pair, and have stood firm in allowing Goldberg to be the only man to truly weaken 'The Conqueror'.
