Sticking with the Full Sail University Universe, one of the first big moments of the tournament came during and following the Kota Ibushi/Cedric Alexander match in the second round. Many placed that match as the best of the entire tournament, more of a compliment to how good it was as opposed to an indictment on the rest of the Classic.

In years to come Cedric Alexander will look back on it as one of the most important matches of his entire career. The crowd were solidly behind the Queen City's Favourite Son, and despite his loss chants of 'Please Sign Cedric' echoed throughout Full Sail. Triple H responded by pushing Alexander back out to take in the adulation of the crowd one last time.

Maybe Cedric Alexander was always going to be a part of the revamped Cruiserweight division on RAW, we'll never know. The reception he received surely went a long way to solidifying this spot.
