By 2002, ECW was gone and the upstart XPW tried to take its place. Seizing his opportunity at revenge, Jack agreed to wrestle Vic Grimes in what was dubbed as a 'Freefall (Scaffold) Match', and he legitimately tried to kill him. That is not an exaggeration.

New Jack told VICE that he wanted to throw Vic hard enough that he'd miss the stack of tables mid-ring and hit the concrete floor outside. When push quite literally came to the shove, he couldn't get enough purchase on Grimes and was disappointed that his victim crashed through one of the tables then hit the ropes.

Wow.

The Sandman was there when Jack purchased a taser earlier that day. His peer confided that he planned to incapacitate Grimes before throwing him off the scaffold. Vic is very lucky that a dislocated ankle was the only injury he suffered, because Jack had seriously bad intentions.
