Prepare to roll your eyes.

Vince McMahon, a notoriously demanding boss who rarely sleeps and cuts promos on himself for daring to sneeze, said this: "Anybody who wants time off can get time off. That’s easy". Following that up, Vinnie Mac claimed that it's "easy to weave a talent in and out of a storyline", and said the only complications come when injuries ruin plans suddenly.

Showing a human side, Vince also said that his "characters are real people with real problems". Somewhere, John Oliver was probably tearing his hair out or trying to stem the flow of steam coming out of his ears. McMahon's comments in Variety don't sit nicely next to Oliver's own words that WWE don't do enough to protect talent.

The WWE boss finds talent management "easy", and remarked that working out which talent will work which dates is an ongoing concern for the company. We're sure the statements about time off are true, but we're not convinced they won't affect a wrestler's standing once he/she returns from holiday.
