10 Things We Learned From Vince McMahon's Variety Interview

1. McMahon Isn't Refusing Talk Of Selling WWE

When interviewing him for the article, Variety asked McMahon if he'd ever consider selling all or some of his stake in WWE at any time in the future. As unflustered as they come, Vince fired back with a simple, "We're open for business", and then refused to give any further comments.

One can envision Vince's cocksure expression from 1998's 'Beyond The Mat' when he said, "We make movies" here. His words hint at an unwillingness to relinquish control over his baby but a shrewd knowledge that any good businessman should at least listen to offers from potential buyers.

Or, maybe McMahon was just playing with Variety and keeping their questions at arm's length.

The article ended with Vince eccentrically comparing WWE to the military and saying he feels he has to earn everyone's respect on a daily basis. Through it all, he didn't actually refuse the notion of selling the company he's built from regional promotion to global powerhouse.
