10 Things We Learned From Week Two Of WWE's XFL

4. The Lack Of Holding Penalties Is Refreshing

An awful lot of the refereeing teams the XFL use come from the college game, and that's a good thing. They're prone to letting things slide for the betterment of the sport. There hasn't been quite as many senseless holding penalties in the XFL thus far, at least compared to the flag-happy NFL crews.

The officials overseeing Week 2's lineup let everyone play with a sense of freedom, and they only called out blatant holds or fouls. That's something anyone who hates the constant stoppages those little yellow flags cause can get behind - it'll hopefully stick as the league develops, because there's no need to get whistle-happy.

Ironically, this guy was jotting down notes on the lack of penalties just as Seattle were punished for two holding calls in the same play. That got a giggle, but at least they were deserved and weren't soft decisions that hurt the game's flow.

Tampa Bay might disagree.
