Will Ospreay has been under contract to New Japan Pro Wrestling for regular tours since 2016. He admitted to Jericho that whilst he does love being in Japan, he doesn't like the constant travel that successful pro wrestlers must contend with.

That's why his much-publicised deal with ROH eventually broke down.

Travelling in the United States is very different to Ospreay than occasionally jaunting over to Japan for NJPW tours. Ring Of Honor understood where Will was coming from in the end; they did try to accommodate him (Ospreay said there no personal problems or arguments, despite rumours online suggesting otherwise), but ROH gave up when Will hammered home that travel was an issue.

Opening up to Y2J, Ospreay also revealed that he suffers from crippling bouts of loneliness when out on the road. Hotel rooms seem like prison cells to him, and that's why he's so happy when Bea is able to travel at the same time.
