Will Ospreay was linked with WWE when the company launched the Cruiserweight Classic in 2016, and again when they announced plans for a brand new United Kingdom Championship. It seemed like Ospreay's dynamic style and internet buzz made him a perfect fit for the latter.

Much like it was when talking terms with Ring Of Honor though, the idea of constantly being on the road travelling is bothersome to Will. When he told Jericho that WWE had been in touch recently, Ospreay also revealed that he politely turned them down once it became clear that he'd have to be away from home over Christmas.

There's something quite nice about that. Ospreay loves being home over the festive period so much that he'd sacrifice a childhood dream to ensure it happens every year. Sure, he's only 24 years old and likely has more opportunities to go there later in his career, but turning down WWE can't have been an easy decision to make.
