4. And How Triple H Reacted

Predictably, Moxley came into his own with a mic in his hands and crashed through a fiery promo that impressed everybody watching. Within 10 seconds, Regal was relieved that he hadn't put someone in an awkward position. Within 20, Triple H was looking over and nodding.

Hunter was also rubbing his forearm as if to say the hairs were standing on end. He was suitably impressed by this indy star who hadn't even been viewed as a top prospect in-ring during the FCW showcase. Regal smiled to himself, because he knew that Jon would get a fair crack.

Mox was on TV the next week.

WWE had him cut promos on two episodes of FCW telly, and he also wrestled an enhancement match (which he won) on the edition sandwiched between those speeches. Imagine Regal hadn't personally requested that promo from Jon. Things could've been so, so different for Moxley and for WWE development.
