7. The Close Bond She Has With Her Dad

By far the most emotional thread of the film focuses on Becky's close bond with her father Ken. He comes across as a mild-mannered, easy-going gent who only wants to see his children find happiness. Indeed, he said something to that effect, noting that "all you want as a parent is to see your child do something they love".

Later, Ken poetically states, "One of the things I love about life is to see people succeed because of their passions", and he links Becky's headstrong approach to her love of wrestling. This positions Ken as a babyface of the piece, and makes it harder for Lynch to process the thought of losing him when he's diagnosed with lung cancer as she's preparing for TLC 2018.

Her mother, meanwhile, is guilty only of trying to protect her daughter after injuries forced her from wrestling in 2006. She couldn't sit back and watch her little girl go through such pain, so she encouraged her to find something else she'd be content doing.
