WWE 24 does a great job of explaining why Drew was a stand out on the British indy scene before the biggest company around came calling in 2007. He wrestled almost everywhere, and it's easy to see why WWE were interested in signing him. When they did though, his talent and luck caused problems.

The OVW roster were p*ssed.

Drew was booked on the road for main roster TVs within two weeks of joining the developmental wing, and he started to notice that some OVW workers were a little frosty with him. Paul Burchill put it best when he told his friend that many had been there for "eight-nine years" without getting an opportunity to do more.

It didn't sit well with them that this newcomer had been recruited and then pushed ahead of them in less than a fortnight. That was a valuable lesson for McIntyre - it taught him to be humble and respect every chance he was afforded.
