10 Things We Learned From WWE Hall Of Fame 2017 Induction Ceremony
7. Rick Rude Was As Strong As He Looked
Perhaps no wrestler in the history of the sport had a build as impressive as that of Rick Rude. While he certainly wasn't as large as musclebound powerhouses like Batista and Brock Lesnar, Rude had a bodybuilder's frame that he owed to genetics as much as anything - a tiny waist, shredded abs, and a huge chest and arms. His look got him immediate notice in the sport, and played into his "Ravishing" gimmick.
Ricky Steamboat, an adversary of Rude's in WCW, was responsible for inducting the late star into the Hall of Fame, and he had some stories about "The Ravishing One." A genuine tough guy who worked as a bouncer, Rude's muscles weren't just for show. Steamboat talked about Rude's feats of strength in the gym, and said that when you locked up with him in the ring, you knew just how strong he was. Still, while Rude could be "snug" in the ring, he wasn't stiff, and Steamboat always enjoyed working with him.
