For wrestling fans of a certain age, the gold standard of feuds and matches is Bret Hart versus Owen Hart. The war between the two brothers tore WWE apart in 1994, with two all-time great bouts on PPV. While some people prefer the SummerSlam cage match (where Bret successfully defended the WWE Championship against Owen), there are those of us who favor their first contest - Owen's amazing victory over Bret at WrestleMania X.

Beth Phoenix was born in 1980, so it's no surprise that the WrestleMania match made a huge impression on her. As she described it in her acceptance speech, seeing Bret versus Owen flipped a switch for her - suddenly, she knew that this was what she wanted to do. That reverence for the Hart brothers stuck with her into her career (and to this day), and helped play a role in her becoming close friends with Natalya.
