10 Things We Learned From WWE Payback

5. Ryback And Wyatt Have Surprising Chemistry

In a scenario which few could have foreshadowed, both Bray Wyatt and Ryback worked really well with one another. Being placed third on the card - right before John Cena was booked to collide with Rusev in an 'I Quit' match, and following a red-hot 2 Out Of 3 Falls match for the WWE Tag-Team Titles - could have proved to be a death spot for both men, but they pulled the proverbial rabbit out of the hat. Going just over 10 minutes, both Ryback and Wyatt had sufficient chemistry, surprising given that the feud has been little more than a minor issue on television over the past few weeks. Wyatt is simply golden in his role as out there weirdo, but credit must also go to Ryback - during his main event run several years ago, the man wasn't really ready for anything other than squashes, but he has improved tenfold. Fans responded in kind at Payback, realising that both guys were doing their best to create an entertaining match. It certainly was that, and even though there's likely little future for the feud, at least WWE know throwing both men together will result in a solid bout.
