10 Things We Learned From WWE’s Undertaker: The Last Ride (Chapter Four)

1. He Told Vince He Was Retiring At Extreme Rules 2019

Mere moments after a fun tag match with Roman Reigns against Shane McMahon and Drew McIntyre at Extreme Rules 2019, The Undertaker told Vince McMahon that he "wasn't there anymore" and was thinking about retiring. That, judging by Vince's reaction, was totally unexpected.

It's almost hypnotising to see McMahon attempt to talk 'Taker off the ledge with kind words like, "It didn't look that way tonight". Eventually, once his lieutenant repeated that he needed to take better care of his body and think about family, Vince ended the conversation with, "Mark, I will follow your lead".

That's powerful.

Obviously, 'Taker didn't retire and returned for another go-around in Saudi Arabia at Super ShowDown 2020. Later, he also worked with AJ Styles at WrestleMania 36. That, rather conveniently, will provide the main meat for WWE's final 'Last Ride' episode next week.
