7. How He Supported Triple H

Much of chapter three's narrative revolves around how much both Triple H and Shawn Michaels have meant to 'Taker as opponents and friends away from the ring. Around halfway through, Trips told a story that just might shock some.

The Undertaker gave him a pep talk when he first started dating Stephanie McMahon.

Oh yes, it's true. When Hunter and Steph started getting cosy in 1999, 'The Game' sought out the locker room leader and asked him for advice; should he care about all the naysayers, or should he ignore them and keep on keeping on? 'Taker said something to the effect of, ‘Screw everybody else and their opinions - you know what you bring to the table. If anybody else doesn’t like it, that’s their problem’.

That meant a lot to Triple H, and it brought both men closer together. They're hardly day-to-day buddies, but they share ultimate respect and know they'd be there for one another when it mattered most. That's actually kinda' cool to learn.
