The New Day made their televised in-ring return this week, handing The Colons their second squash in as many weeks and sending a shot across the bow to Jimmy and Jey Uso that they remain a completely different type of threat to their Tag Team Titles.

After a lengthy build up, New Day came to SmackDown Live! to recapture the magic that had disappeared from their act since surrendering the Raw tag straps to Sheamus and Cesaro last December.

Their record-breaking run became what defined them most, and creative follow-up for the trio on Monday Night Raw seemed in painfully short supply.

After making the best of their WrestleMania hosting duties and twice putting over The Revival for Dash and Dawson's first fortnight on Monday Night Raw, Kofi Kingston, Big E and Xavier Woods disappeared completely to ready themselves for their redebut on the blue brand.

Subsequently, that return ensured they'd look head and shoulders above the competition. Primo and Epico were comprehensively outmatched by the Woods/E combination of the group in a contest which saw Xavier hit an impressive cannonball topé before Primo was despatched with The Midnight Hour.

Already the biggest deal all over again, the blue and silver belts belong exactly where the black and bronze ones used to be.
