Ventura is often asked who his favorite opponent inside the squared circle was: the answer is Tito Santana.

His reason is that the two had great chemistry and their styles blended perfectly. According to Jesse, Tito had phenomenal timing and knew how Ventura needed to work, allowing "Jesse to be Jesse". When it came time for the babyface's comeback, Tito trusted Jesse to give it to him and Jesse did.

On Austin's podcast, Jesse even remembered an occasion where ten minutes had already gone by in their match and the two hadn't even touched each other, yet the crowd was up-and-down with excitement. That's how well the two worked together.

Later as an announcer, Jesse would rib Tito while on commentary, calling him "Chico" and a "bean eater" amongst many other insults. While Tito Santana may be the most remembered target of Jesse's ribbing while on commentary, Ventura would often poke fun at other WWF superstars. As he said while being interviewed by Steve Austin, The Body played his role like everyone else was insignificant to him.
