10 Things We Learned Listening To Jesse Ventura On Steve Austin's Podcast

2. Jesse's HOF Speech Angered Vince McMahon

Jesse winning the lawsuit over Vince McMahon and the WWF was a rarity. Very few people have taken McMahon to court and have come out victorious, but Jesse did and it angered Vince tremendously.

Over the years, Vince did bring Jesse back for a few appearances, including his induction into the WWE Hall Of Fame in 2004. While Vince was already likely experiencing mixed emotions having Jesse back in the fold, even if temporarily, part of Ventura's speech the night before WrestleMania XX would make Vince even angrier, according to Jesse.

The night Jesse was inducted into the Hall Of Fame he said, "The thing I'm most proud of is the fact that I was the first wrestler that introduced Vince to an agent." Jesse claims he could see Vince and could tell he was angered by the statement.

Considering it was Vince's agent that the WWF had to negotiate with, which ultimately led to the court's decision to award Ventura his royalties, Vince was unlikely to appreciate that statement. Whether he was in the crowd or Ventura could see his reaction is not certain, but Ventura definitely rubbed it in the night of his Hall Of Fame induction.
