10 Things We Never Thought We Would See In WWE In The 2010s

8. Brock Lesnar Re-signing With WWE

Although Brock Lesnar left WWE on decent terms following WrestleMania 20, he was never expected to come back. He had an awesome run over in New Japan Pro Wrestling before transitioning into mixed martial arts. Purists of the sport figured he would fail, but he ended up becoming one of the biggest draws in the history of UFC, quickly clinching the UFC Heavyweight Championship and smashing pay-per-view records for the company. Imagine what else he could have accomplished had he not suffered health setbacks. There was hope yet for Lesnar's future in MMA when he returned to the octagon at the tail end of 2011, but after an embarrassing three minute loss at UFC 141, he announced his retirement from the sport. And then rumors ran rampant it was only inevitable that we would see him back in WWE before long. It was a mere three months later that he resurfaced on WWE TV the night after WrestleMania 28, laying waste to John Cena. This kicked off an incredible three year stint that was expected to run through March 2015 where he would leave for unfinished business in UFC, but The Beast Incarnate swerved the wrestling world when he announced he had re-signed for another three years, effectively closing the door on his MMA career for good. Not only is Lesnar making more money now than he would have been had he gone back to UFC, fans have seen him rekindle his rivalry with The Undertaker, annihilate The New Day and take Seth Rollins to Suplex City in the last year alone, all in addition to making more on-air and live event appearances. Basically, it's a win-win deal for both parties.
