10 Things Wrestling Fans Want For Christmas

6. Vince To Release More Control

Vince McMahon has always been a man that needs control. It has been said that the Chairman of the Board even becomes angry at sneezing since it is a function he cannot control. That says a lot about a man and when that man is in control of a publicly-traded multimedia company with the power to create and destroy careers, that power can become a hard thing to release. Few people can truly understand the amount of responsibility and pressure that rests on Vince McMahon's shoulders and for the better part of 35 years, he has used that power to successfully produce a product that has generated a worldwide fanbase Like all things do in life though, Vince has begun to age. Even though the man keeps himself in incredible shape, steps must be taken to foresee the succession of his company and that may require more from Vince than he is ready or willing to provide. It is obvious that his son-in-law, Triple H, has taken leaps of progress and responsibility behind-the-scenes over the past several years, but he will be the first to admit, Vince still controls it all. The NXT brand is a great example of what can be accomplished when Vince releases his control. It is hard for a 70 year old man to know what is current and hip in pop culture in the same way a man in his 20s, 30s, and even 40s could understand. From the characters that he has developed (including several of Roman Reign's promos) to the commentary heard, the WWE product still remains caked in Vince's fingerprints. At a time when television ratings are hitting an all-time low and the quality of the show has been steadily declining, it may be time to see what additional new blood can do to rejuvenate the WWE brand.
