10 Things WWE Are Getting Absolutely Right

1. Roman Reigns

Calls for Roman Reigns to "turn heel" have never been as misplaced as they are at the moment. WWE's 'Big Dog' exists in the grey area between traditional wrestling alignments, playing audiences like a fiddle on a weekly basis, never giving a damn how loud the jeers get.

Reigns might be 'The Guy,' but WWE are no longer promoting him as an unstoppable Superman babyface. He's still protected, but his win/loss record isn't half as impressive as it used to be, and he hasn't held a major championship in over a year. Those "shoved down our throats" arguments just don't stack up right now, and highlighting his divisiveness has become moot, because that's the whole point of his push.

Younger fans love him, everyone above adolescence hates him, and that's exactly what WWE want. They don't care if you're cheering or booing, so long as you're making a reaction, and nobody draws more noise than Reigns.

There's every chance WWE will eventually go back to Roman's old role as a miscast babyface, but they're nailing his presentation at the moment. Raw's main event scene is full of moral ambiguity, with no wrestler bound to a strict face/heel role, and nobody symbolises this better than Reigns.
