10 Things WWE Are Getting Absolutely Right
4. Dean Ambrose & Seth Rollin's Reunion
9 times out of 10, WWE would pay off a storyline like Dean Ambrose' reunion with Seth Rollins in a couple of weeks. 'The Lunatic Fringe' would overcome his suspicious mind after their first interaction, they'd bump fists way too early, and the whole thing would feel rushed and unsatisfying.
Fortunately, this has been one of the few occasions when WWE actually take their time with a storyline, giving it enough room to develop in a logical, meaningful way. Their eventful fistbump felt all the more fulfilling because WWE stretched the tension out over a number of weeks, allowing their distrust to bounce back and forth over multiple episodes of Raw, before finally uniting in the face of two common foes in Sheamus and Cesaro.
Ambrose and Rollins now feel more purposeful than they have in months, and 'The Kingslayer' finally has traction as a babyface. The likely conclusion is that their tension will resurface after losing the Raw Tag Team Titles, one will turn heel, and they'll be locked into another major singles feud. It's a match we've seen many times before, but there'll be few complaints if WWE maintain such high storytelling standards.
