10 Things WWE Are Getting Dead Wrong At The Moment

6. NXT Losing Its Cool

Through a mixture of stagnation and consistently losing their top talent to Raw and SmackDown, NXT has lost a little bit of its sheen of late. The competition with AEW on Wednesday nights is becoming more and more one-sided with each passing week, and NXT is in need of a kick-start.

Naturally, the show becoming more mainstream than ever before is causing it some problems. The action is still up there with the best - just look at the most recent Takeover events - but storylines have become somewhat standard, and the old magic isn't quite there.

A lack of crowd participation is obviously a huge factor. The NXT faithful are the biggest hardcore fans WWE has, and an empty arena will affect them more than Raw, SmackDown, or even AEW. However, Triple H and company are going to have to switch something up for the black and gold. We don't know how long the closed-doors era is going to last, and while NXT is hardly in a desperate state right now, a little out-of-the-box thinking would be welcome through the rest of 2020.
