10 Things WWE Did Right At Payback

3. Neville Got Revenge On The Cowardly King Barrett

Good match with a bad finish. That's the best way to describe Neville's match with King Barrett. It looked they were well on their way to have a competitive match that the crowd was into, but instead it ended prematurely when Barrett refused to go back into the ring after a Neville attack outside the ring. Matches ending by countout on PPVs is pretty rare. Most of the time we get a decisive finish or maybe a disqualification, but a guy refusing to go in the ring to compete in the match is a bit disappointing. That finish definitely fell flat. They made up for it in the post match with Barrett doing an attack followed by Neville making the comeback with a German Suplex followed by the Red Arrow. It's hard to find too many positives from this aside from Neville getting the revenge after the match. Everything before that was a bit of a letdown. The feud will continue likely in the Elimination Chamber with both guys going after the vacated Intercontinental Title.
