The tag team champions The Miz and Damien Mizdow were able to retain their tag team titles against The Usos because The Miz hit one of the Usos in the head with a Slammy Award. The ref saw it while they were outside the ring, so that led to the disqualification finish. It was a smart finish because they were able to keep the tag titles on the comedy tag team of Miz and Mizdow while not really hurting The Usos. Since The Usos didn't lose by pinfall or submission, they have every right to get another tag team title shot in the near future. That's why it's okay to do to DQ finishes once in a while. Does that cheap finish upset the fans? Of course. That's the point of it. WWE wants you to become more invested in this storyline, which has also involved Naomi, who is the wife of Jimmy Uso and is being helped by The Miz for her Hollywood career. This feud will likely continue for the next six weeks leading to another tag title match at the Royal Rumble although there's a chance they could do it on Raw too. It's no guarantee that The Usos are going to win the titles, though.
