3. John Cena Beating Seth Rollins Was The Right Decision
Cena went into the match with something on the line. If he lost, he would lose his status as the #1 Contender to the WWE Title held by Brock Lesnar. If Seth Rollins, there was no punishment for him. That stipulation made the outcome very obvious although there was always hope that maybe they would do something different. The ref bump spot was done to set up the false finish where both guys went through a table. They really didn't need to do a spot like that, but this was a show where WWE felt like they had to overdo it with big bumps, so that's why they added it in. It's important to make the right booking decisions. If WWE is going to position Cena as the top contender to the WWE Title once again, they should have him win a match like that. They don't want him losing matches prior to facing the beast Lesnar at Royal Rumble. He's always booked strong anyway, but it was especially important for this match. It was also cool that Paul Heyman was at ringside because it set up the Cena/Lesnar match by showing that Cena was ready for the WWE Champion. If they had a regular match that went 22 minutes it likely would have been better than this gimmick match was. That just shows that you don't always have to gimmicks to have better matches.
