There were a lot of questions about Sting going in because 56 year old men that haven't wrestled in over a year can definitely be rusty. He looked to be in great shape. There were times when he wasn't moving that quickly and the Scorpion Death Lock didn't look that great, but he gutted out an old school type of match with Triple H. The sight of Hunter's DX buddies coming out to help him was cool, but it got even better when the New World Order's Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash and Scott Hall showed up. They took their time to get there because they are old dudes. However, when they went after DX the crowd went wild for it. Shawn Michaels showing up was a nice surprise too although Sting managed to kick out after his Superkick. It wasn't a strong finish. Sting actually broke Hunter's sledgehammer with his bat. Hunter ended up outsmarting him by attacking with the broken sledgehammer, which was good enough for a win. A Pedigree would have been a better ending. Post match was interesting with Hunter asking for a handshake and then he patted Sting on the head. It was likely Hunter's way of thanking Sting for being there because we don't know if Sting will wrestle again. Some people are mad that Hunter won. It was likely done since Hunter is in the bigger match next year, so they want him to look like a huge star. Plus, Vince McMahon loves to stick it to WCW even 14 years after burying them.
