10 Things WWE Did Wrong At The Royal Rumble

9. Not Putting The Title Match On Last

No matter how bad a taste the Rumble may have left in someone's mouth, there's no way that any objective wrestling fan can call the triple threat match for the WWE championship anything other than an absolute classic. We witnessed three performers go out and give their all in what was an incredibly booked contest designed to make the champ look like an even bigger monster while keeping Cena strong and rocketing Seth Rollins into the superstar stratosphere. Mr. Money in the Bank has unquestionably been the WWE's MVP for the last year, putting on one outstanding performance after another while blossoming into one of the most interesting characters on the roster. We've seen him in there with Cena, but at no point did he look out of place next to The Beast, and in this match he firmly carved out his spot in the top tier. Can you imagine Brock Lesnar vs. Seth Rollins one-on-one with Seth as the babyface? This bout was everything we wanted and deserved, and by putting it on second-to-last, WWE did a disservice to the performers in the match as well as themselves by not cushioning the blow that apparently everyone on Earth outside of those who work in Titan Towers knew was coming.
