10 Things WWE Fans Expected To Have Seen By Now

2. Triple H Vs. The Rock At WrestleMania

WWE have never booked a straight up one-on-one WrestleMania match between The Rock and Triple H. That's amazing considering both have been involved in the company since the mid-1990s and the opportunity has always existed. In 2000, the writing team ignored the possibility in favour of a 'McMahon in every corner' 4-way also involving Mick Foley and Big Show.

This is one of the last big matches WWE have left over from the glory days of the Attitude Era, and it'd surely be a money-spinner in marquee value alone. The promos both men could cut would be memorable and the confrontation is one old-school fans would lust over. In many respects, despite countless matches on TV and pay-per-view, a 'Mania match between Rock and Hunter is the one that got away.

Perhaps 'Mania 34 will play host to the match, but it's hardly a stick on. As much as Rocky enjoys returning occasionally to wrestling, it's not his bread and butter these days. Hollywood is, and he's wildly successful as a movie star.

Still, we'd like to see him rekindle an old rivalry as a one off.
