10 Things WWE Fans Expected To Have Seen By Now

1. A Roman Reigns Heel Turn

To paraphrase a popular idiom, even if you had been living under a rock it'd still be obvious that a lot of wrestling fans don't like Roman Reigns. This comes despite WWE's wish to turn the man into their next big babyface. Over three years on from that initial break up of The Shield, Roman is still being booed heavily.

It's almost impressive that WWE have resisted the temptation to crumble under the weight of apathy and turn Reigns full-blown heel. He has hinted at playing the bad guy (that post-WrestleMania 'This Is My Yard Now' promo instantly springs to mind), but Roman is still Raw's top 'goody' and plays an updated twist on John Cena's superhero-like character.

WWE may have to make a change at some point, but they're in no rush. It's been almost three full years since Reigns was jeered for winning the Royal Rumble, a victory that was supposed to fortify his position as the biggest babyface. Congratulations for proving you can be stubborn, WWE.
