Kissing goodbye to his fans at WrestleMania XXVI in 2010, the iconic Shawn Michaels has not wrestled a match since. Staying true to his word, HBK retired from action after a second 'Mania defeat to The Undertaker, henceforth working mainly on his own projects and as an ambassador for WWE.

This surprised many who have followed pro wrestling for any length of time. Retirement stipulations are rarely adhered to, and Michaels himself had already stepped away from the spotlight once before.

On that occasion in 1998, serious back problems stopped him from wrestling, but he returned in 2002 for a remarkable second spell.

There's been no third, which must be considered admirable. According to Michaels, WWE have offered (and the money will have been substantial), but he has turned them down.

At this point in his life, Shawn Michaels has absolutely no interest in wrestling again, something he's not shy about expressing.

He will make occasional appearances, hit a 'Sweet Chin Music' here or there, or cut a promo, but Michaels may never work a full match again.
