6. She Tossed WWE Women's Title In Trash On Nitro Because Eric Bischoff Told Her
Madusa went back to WCW in December 1995 because WWE's women's division had failed and they stopped focusing on the ladies there. She jumped to WCW at a time when people were switching companies all the time, but her case was unique. When she signed with WCW she was still the WWE Women's Champion and she still had the title in her possession. Eric Bischoff, the President of WCW, told her to bring the Women's Title to Nitro and drop it in a trash can during live TV. She did as she was told. In a
WWE.com interview, she explained that she was forced to throw the WWF Women's Title in the trash. She even said it's the question that she gets asked about the most. "The longest running question to this day is why in the hell did you throw the title in the trash can? Well, I was under contract and Eric Bischoff told me to do it. It was either that or I was out the door. If I was a guy I would've been on the cover of every magazine. Because I was a woman, I was called a disgrace to the business. That's the truth." It wasn't a case of Madusa disrespecting the business or being disrespectful to WWE because she was mad with them. She just did what she was told like any employee might do in that situation. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1uiQTa5PuFY As mentioned earlier, it's the incident she is most known for and she has also said that she still has the WWE Women's Title, so maybe she'll bring it with her to the WWE Hall of Fame.
