He built his reputation in America, but the diversity of Chris Hero’s influences and trainers is reflected in the variety of places that he’s wrestled. The USA has always been his home base, but Hero has made a career out of wrestling all across the globe, and he’s made an impact in each of the world’s major wrestling scenes.

In America, Hero has wrestled for WWE, TNA, ROH, and almost every notable independent promotion you can think of. He has wrestled on-and-off for Japan’s Pro Wrestling Noah since 2007, even spending some time honing his craft in the company dojo, and competed in a number of small-scale Lucha matches while working with Jorge Rivera in Mexico City.

Hero’s reach stretches even further afield, however. He has wrestled for Australia’s PWA Queensland, Germany’s wXw, a slew of British indies, and a variety of smaller companies across countries as diverse as Peru, Switzerland, and Belgium. Some of his career’s best matches have come on foreign shores, in fact, with recent UK-based performances against Mark Andrews and Marty Scurll sitting proudly on his resume.
