There are probably some long time WCW fans who don't remember JB being part of the company. That's understandable, because Borash didn't join until 1999. By that point in time, the shine had come off WCW and the promotion was struggling to recapture the success of 1997/98.

That wouldn't have mattered to Jeremy back then.

For him, working in WCW must have been massive. His background was in radio, and he jumped at the chance to work with Bob Ryder; it was Bob who first pitched the idea of a WCW radio show to Eric Bischoff. Once Bisch had given the idea his backing, WCW Live premiered via WCW.com as one of the first online wrestling radio shows.

JB's first guest was Hulk Hogan and the show was so well-received that management started taking notice. Before the WWF purchased WCW in 2001, Borash contributed creative ideas for Nitro and Thunder, and he also briefly worked as a backstage interviewer on both.
