Jeff Jarrett has said during numerous interviews over the years that he could spot how driven and talented Jeremy Borash was from the off. That's something Jarrett wanted as part of his new NWA-TNA promotion in 2002, so he made the call to hire Borash early. That proved a shrewd move.

Long before TNA was anything more than a Southern-style upstart company running weekly pay-per-views from the same location, Borash was deemed a pivotal part of the entire operation by those who owned it. There's a reason for that, and it speaks volumes of the passion he has for pro wrestling.

TNA never did manage to properly go head-to-head with WWE (a brief spell running Monday nights don't count), but Borash worked hard to help make the promotion the best it could possibly be. With guys like him behind the scenes, TNA would always have ideas.

Jarrett knew that.
