Eschewing the flashy style that seems to be the norm in the modern age, Killer Kross works an altogether more cerebral style. His moveset is heavy on strikes and grappling, utilising legitimate holds and moves to wear down his opponent before locking them in the Kross Jacket, a choke sleeper that does exactly what it says on the tin.

Kross wrestles like someone with an MMA background, and that isn’t a million miles away from the truth. He might not have any MMA fights under his belt but Kross has trained in a variety of martial arts, from jiu-jitsu to Kyokushinkaikan, a Japanese style of fighting that translates as ‘the ultimate truth’. Kross started training in a variety of styles from a young age, with the intention of moving into pro fighting.

He moved to Las Vegas with this in mind but soon found that it wasn’t for him. To quote the man himself, he ‘f*cking hated it’. Kross was tailor-made for the combat element but the lifestyle and routine less so. He realised that he loved it recreationally but not professionally.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
