As much as he enjoyed seeing friends and peers strut their stuff on British Boot Camp 2, Spud reveled in the more focused attention he received as part of the show's first season. Alongside The Blossom Twins and Marty Scurll, he formed the original cast for the reality-based program. He ended up winning the entire thing too.

The season became known for Spud's ongoing feud with Scurll. Both men were depicted as hungry young UK stars who viewed TNA as the best place to wrestle. There was some truth to that, because securing a TNA contract would have meant wrestling on shows with infamous names such as Hulk Hogan, Sting, Kurt Angle, Ric Flair and more.

Spud has moved on since his days as the hard-drinking, arrogant rock star he played for TNA's cameras back then. It's amazing to look back on the show though, not least because Marty Scurll also wasn't playing his 'Villain' guise yet or setting the world alight as part of The Bullet Club.
