5. 60 Minutes With CM Punk
Joe has made a career out of having long, hard-fought matches. Some of Joe's greatest and most celebrated matches include the aforementioned Unbreakable 2005 triple threat match, his RoH match against Kenta Kobashi and his series of matches with CM Punk. Punk and Joe are friends outside of the ring and, as anyone who has seen their joint shoot interviews will know, they have a natural chemistry when put in a room together. That chemistry transferred into the wrestling ring, as the two put on some of the best matches in the early years of Ring of Honor. Stuffed with state-of-the-art wrestling and good psychology, the matches were very well-received by fans. What makes the matches doubly impressive is the fact that they routinely went one hour. The Punk/Joe trilogy of 2004 included two sixty minute draws, the second of which earned a five star rating from the notoriously hard-to-please Dave Meltzer. It's amazing that a guy of Joe's size could wrestle at that pace for an hour, especially in a building as hot as the ones that ROH used to run in. The sixty minute matches added further weight to the claims that Joe was one of the very best in the world at that point in his career.
